Like It Is | EP 3: The Way You've Always Done It
The way you've always done things is not important.
The worst reason in the world to do anything in business is because that's the way you've always done it. You're clients, your competitors, your industry, technology, will all leave you behind if you hold preciously to the way you've always done things.
You constantly have to ask yourself "If we started this organization today, based on everything we know and everything that's available to us, is this the way we would do it?" If the answer is yes, then great. If it's no, then stop doing it that way. If you want to adapt and thrive and survive in business you have to be open to new ideas, innovation, and challenging the way you've always done things. Become fiercely committed to improving, not being comfortable.
