This is a quick-hit tip any leader can tap into.
Productivity is tied to appreciation.
Earth-shattering? Maybe not. But definitely underrated and underutilized by an unfortunate amount of leaders.
For most people, productivity has a direct correlation to appreciation. Meaning, if you want folks at your company to care and take pride in the work that they do, then make them feel valued, cared for, and appreciated.
Praise goes a long way.
Like I’ve said before, praise is free to generate and so valuable for leaders to practice. If you are in a leadership position and not actively letting your employees know that you appreciate them on a regular basis, it’s time to start. Trust me, the more cared for people feel, the more they care about their work. They work harder, they stay longer at the company, and they like their jobs more.
So simple, but underrated.
